The company now known as Quest Construction was originally founded in 1992 by Kevin Weisbeck. As it grew and evolved over the years, it officially became Quest Construction in 2006, with ownership under Kevin Weisbeck, Kurt Weisbeck, and John Kokales. After 15 years of dedicated project management, Russell Hehn joined as an owner, adding to the team’s decades of combined experience.
Today, we are proud to have 17 long-term employees with over 210 years of construction expertise. Quest Construction was built on a foundation of integrity, craftsmanship, and expertise, specializing in general contracting, premier custom home building, design-build projects, construction management, and self-performed work.

Early meetings with the client and architect can ensure we are fulfilling the wants and needs of the client early in the process. With expedition in scheduling, and assuring sub-contractor quality, we can utilize insight from years of experience to help avoid issues on a project as well as helping find solutions to any issues that may arise during the construction process.

Kurt Weisbeck
Owner / Principal
A principal owner with over 30 years of regional leadership, Kurt oversees client relations, project administration, accurate budgeting and estimating, and master scheduling. He specializes in value engineering, bid-package structuring, and strategic subcontractor negotiations — all designed to mitigate risk and maximize cost predictability without compromising project quality.
John Kokales
Owner / Member-Manager
As a principal owner of Quest Construction, John anchors every project on unwavering credibility and strong collaborative relationships. With over 40 years of industry experience, he champions a robust preconstruction process focused on early risk identification, precise cost control, and thorough constructability review — fostering transparent communication among owner, design team, and trade partners for a seamless transition into construction.
Russell Hehn
Owner / Principal
A principal owner with over 30 years of hands-on field experience, Russell began as a carpenter in 1995 and advanced through superintendent and project manager to ownership. On Groton he will command field operations — directly overseeing quality control, safety protocols, and labor coordination — bridging preconstruction planning and field execution to keep the project on schedule and on budget.
Jared Little
Owner / Project Manager
A seasoned owner with 20 years across residential, commercial, and industrial projects, Jared advanced from laborer to project manager and brings a ground-up understanding of construction. Experienced in Design-Build, CMaR, Cost-Plus, and Hard-Bid delivery, he prioritizes critical-path scheduling, OSHA safety compliance, and sound field practices — with a low-ego, collaborative leadership style built on accountability.
Dave Mohn
Preconstruction / Estimating
With nearly 30 years of specialized experience, Dave leads all preconstruction efforts in close, open-book collaboration with the design team and Owner. His deep estimating background drives detailed quantity take-offs, market-condition analysis, and constructability review — identifying financial risk early and developing value-engineering solutions that protect design intent and structural integrity.
Darren Dell
Project Manager / Estimator
Darren merges 18+ years of field-tested experience with advanced management principles. He began as a carpenter apprentice with Quest in 2008 and later earned a B.S. in Construction Management with honors from Minnesota State University Moorhead. His comprehensive grasp of budget controls, subcontractor tracking, and transparent client reporting keeps projects crossing the finish line safely, on time, and to the highest standards of quality.
